Andre Gide (Nobel Prize lobbyist)
Andre Gide's full name is Andre Paul Giomme Gide. He is a French writer. He was born in Paris in 1867. His father is a professor. Andre Gide is a Nobel Prize lobbyist. The Notebook of Andre Walter (1891) is his first book. Later he wrote books like, Fruits of the world (1897), Soul (1903), The return of the Prodigal (1903). He is appeared as a proponent of communism in 1930. In 1952, the Roman Catholic Church banned some of his books. Strait is the Gate (1909), The Vatican Cellars (1914), Pastoral Symphony (1919), If it Die (1924), The Coiners (1926), The Counterfeiters (1926) are also books written by him. He was awarded in 1947. He is died on 19th February 1951 in Paris.
